TIME .... to celebrate

Funny thing time, sometimes, it seems to stand still, other times it seems like it flies by and we cannot seem to recall why we thought the next year or 5 or 10 years ahead were so far away. The 1st birthday suddenly becomes the 5th, then where did the time go and we are at 9, and my oh my, how fast it all went by.

This is a happy occasion and definitely a celebration and great excitement, for turning 9 is a big event and we intend to celebrate it as exactly that -  but it does seem like just the other day when the funny little words were being said, first steps were taken and first teeth were showing.

It has been happy and sad and sometimes a little mad but I would not change a minute of these last 9 years for all the world.  So tomorrow we CELEBRATE  and give thanks for these years and the ones to come and enjoy every moment, for we know how they flash past and capture all the memories in our hearts and be happy...........Happy 9th Birthday my little princess. I LOVE YOU.  Mum

Early Mornings

Sometimes, I think it is the best time of the day. When you are awake before the rest of the world (well, it feels like that doesn't it?).

All is quiet, all you hear as the sun rises are the sounds of the birds, the rustle of leaves on a gentle morning breeze and the fresh cool smell of wet grass and morning. The colours are taken straight from natures easel and are simply the best. Top it all off with a steamy cup of coffee (can you smell it?) and a  camera and I am happy.

Heading towards the Holidays

Counting down the days of this last week till the holidays. Weather is bright and sunny and just another of the most stunning days.
We sure are blessed in this beautiful place. Like a postcard.

Here are few of the things I am grateful for : 

• the view over the sea each morning
• hearing the waves in the dark of night
• baby girl hugs
• the roses blooming in my vintage garden
• a cuddle from the cat when he is not too busy
• not feeling too vintage myself (most days)
• that I am loving blogging and having fun with it

I can go on, but really I am just thankful the skies are blue and I am happy. Hope you are too.

Gratitude

Lay awake last night thinking of all the things I am thankful for, all the good and not so good and the lessons that we learn from it all. All the people who I have known and some who have passed on. For new friends and old.

For the people that are special to us for the many different reasons and the smiles, laughter and tears that are all part of making us who we are.

For all the people I love out there I wish you stardust with wishes in the evening and sunshine in your day.
