Bit of a mix up at the moment really.
Have you ever been in a space where there is just so much happening and so many mixed energies, that it feels all over the place and like a railway station? (the general feeling of ease and comfort, I mean).
Yes/no? well that's pretty much how it feels for me at the moment. I think that is where the last post originated from, just wanting that calm, connected and peaceful space. However it seems right now that it is not meant to be, so I shall carry on and just breathe and see what happens when the waters still again.
Hoping your Friday is more Zen like than mine.
This was a favourite place of mine to walk and sit a few years ago, beautiful, peaceful and a little piece of heaven
It's the kind of day where I am wishing for a far away place and gentler balmier weather (didn't I recently wish for winter?), in fact, it has got nothing to do with the weather, it is the view, I really feel like sitting back on a patio, with this picture in my view and tropical weather and just being! yup, that's it - just relaxing....no thoughts, no worries, no stress, JUST BEING in the moment.
Naturally I want my loved ones with me, but in this moment, sunshine, warm breezes and sparkling sea would be wonderful.
So for a while, I will pretend I am there, with my nice glass of cold wine, sitting on chair on the patio, watching the boats sail by.....feeling the soft warm breeze and just BEING.
Funny thing time, sometimes, it seems to stand still, other times it seems like it flies by and we cannot seem to recall why we thought the next year or 5 or 10 years ahead were so far away. The 1st birthday suddenly becomes the 5th, then where did the time go and we are at 9, and my oh my, how fast it all went by.
This is a happy occasion and definitely a celebration and great excitement, for turning 9 is a big event and we intend to celebrate it as exactly that - but it does seem like just the other day when the funny little words were being said, first steps were taken and first teeth were showing.
It has been happy and sad and sometimes a little mad but I would not change a minute of these last 9 years for all the world. So tomorrow we CELEBRATE and give thanks for these years and the ones to come and enjoy every moment, for we know how they flash past and capture all the memories in our hearts and be happy...........Happy 9th Birthday my little princess. I LOVE YOU. Mum
Sometimes, I think it is the best time of the day. When you are awake before the rest of the world (well, it feels like that doesn't it?).
All is quiet, all you hear as the sun rises are the sounds of the birds, the rustle of leaves on a gentle morning breeze and the fresh cool smell of wet grass and morning. The colours are taken straight from natures easel and are simply the best. Top it all off with a steamy cup of coffee (can you smell it?) and a camera and I am happy.
May your day be happy too xx
This picture was taken 2 years ago very early one morning - enjoy,
This week feels like that, need lots of coffee to keep moving forward, love my coffee so that is a plus. Big week this one, so I missed Word of the Week but will continue with it next week. Do enjoy your cup of coffee wherever you are in the world this morning, sunshine or snow and I will mine. Happy Wednesday to you.
Thought about my WORD OF THE WEEK a lot, these past few days, and have decided to kick off with KINDNESS, this was also inspired by a brilliant blog I found New Day New Lesson and Susie has a tab called the Kindness Club, pop over there and have a look around, well worth it.
I think we all need a little kindness sometimes. We need to give, receive and pay it forward, so for this week let's all do that in whatever small way we can and feel the difference.
Change harsh words to kind words, small footsteps make giant strides.
and the weekend is near, we've had great storms since my last post and some wild weather but all is good, the skies are grey, the seas are green, sometimes grey or charcoal and wild, with white horses whipping the tops of the waves to a frenzy of froth and sea spray. It feels good to have the rain and wind and freshness. It feels like nature is blowing away all the old summer energy and washing in the clean new cooler winter with changes all around. Thinking of starting the "Weekly Word" again (did this some time back) and will decide what to kick off with over the weekend.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend wherever in the world you are.
Our weather has finally cooled down and we've had a bit more rain. Any rain is good after the heat of the summer and I am not 100% sure that we are totally out of summer just yet. Anyway, at least a few cooler days give us a breather from the looong hot summer we have had this year.
In my little corner in the world this morning, I can hear the birds in the garden. We have had some good rain (once) in the last few days and you can almost hear the plants greedily slurping the water up. Today is sunshine and heat once more and I do believe we are heading for a lovely 27+ later on this week. Memo: to the Weather Person in the Sky: pssst - have you not heard of Autumn? and cooler, gentler weather - I think you have forgotten us this year.
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to go into a relatively new building in town to have a look around. Whilst taking pictures out of the window (I think this was from the 45th floor) this shot was snapped by accident. What a surprise when I downloaded the pics sometime later, but I rather liked it so thought I'd share.
